WLIW21 is seeking new members for its Community Advisory Board. The Community Advisory Board advises the station management in respect to programming and other policies of the station to meet the specialized educational and cultural needs of all the communities it serves.

If you are interested, please send your resume to the WLIW Administrative Offices at 450 W. 33rd Street, New York, NY 10001 to the attention of Jackie Voyages.

The Community Advisory Board is an effective way for the public to participate in the planning and decision making for the station. The composition of the board is reasonably representative of the diverse needs and interest of the community.

The role of the board is solely advisory in nature. It does not have any authority to exercise control over the daily management or operation of the station. It is an autonomous body that operates independently from station management, with the power to elect its own officers and to determine its own agenda.

The Community Advisory Board is permitted to review the programming goals established by the station, the service provided by the station and significant policy decisions rendered by the station. The Community Advisory Board may make recommendations to station management. Text of significant recommendations, if any, issued by the Community Advisory Board at each of its meetings with respect to programming, service or policy desicions of WLIW21 New York will be posted on this page.
